Daily Drop

The marathon mindset.

What if life is not a sprint, a race to success, but a marathon journey.

We don’t need to seek perfection every single day. That burden is too heavy for most to carry. But we can do something else that points us in the right direction.

We can be consistent. We can show up daily, even when we don’t feel like it.

This style of performance compounds. Many months or years of consistency usually proves to be more fruitful than the cycle of striving and burning out.

Instead of trying to fix the whole world we can work on fixing ourselves. Shining our light, whatever that may be. We show up each day, knowing we are growing.

Sometimes we can slow down, take a step back, observe. Pause, breathe, relax. Not in a lazy way, but a rejuvenating way, with purpose. We let go, to move forward.

Personally speaking it’s not about the attention and validation. If this is what someone desires the most, maybe the flashy lifestyle chasing fame is for them.

What goes up must come down, Chasing highs leads to a low. Everything has it’s cost. We can chase things, but if we’re not ready, how can we receive it fully?

We need to focus on foundation, speed develops later with skill. This is a hard truth. If you want to scale Mount Everest, it takes preparation, Its no quick trip.

Consistency is what gives us pace. We put the reps in each day. We show up, just not in a rushed fearful way. We move slower, we overthink less, we take our time.

Nature isn’t rushed, the best art can never be rushed, skilled people aren’t sloppy at their craft. We can be present and do our best work while calm and focused.

So let’s not rush our process. Let’s not try to force everything into place. What if we don’t have all the answers? I know I don’t. Let’s keep going everyday, trusting.

We don’t need to be perfect. We just need to be showing up, that usually leads to being in the right place at the right time, or other favourable circumstances.

Whats one thing you want to do daily? Not perfectly, just consistently. Not for applause, just for your soul, for the satisfaction of the process of development.
