Feeling a creative block?

Here’s some ways to overcome a creative block.

We can start by taking a break. Sometimes we simply need to recharge our creative batteries. Sometimes simply taking a few days without forcing creative activities to get our creative juices flowing again.

Another idea is to seek inspiration. Maybe for you that means listening to new music, going to an art gallery, maybe going out into nature and seeking inspiration in the beauty around us.

We can also try new creative ventures unrelated to what we’re currently blocked on. Doing this will allow us to see our creative energy working in other ways and allow us to work through the block we’re experiencing.

There is an endless supply of creative energy available to us at any given time. We just need to tap into it, so maybe meditation or prayer or other devotional practices can help you enter the flow of creative energy.

Finally something i’ve learned is to just push through. We don’t need perfection, not everything we create needs to be polished and shiny. There’s something genuine about raw creative work. The meaning is in the creation as well as the final product.

We can break the false agreement we’ve made that we’re somehow stuck or incapable of creativity. We’re capable of more than we normally believe. We’ll find out as we progress and see the vision become reality.
