Want to feel less anxiety?

Try taking more action towards your desires and goals. Often anxiety shows up as a red warning light, telling us we’ve gone off track somewhere in our lives.

When we see the anxious feeling as a signal, an alarm or alert, leading us back to our purpose, we can actually appreciate what it’s trying to tell us. That being said…

The system can also go haywire and this distinction is important, if the anxiety is crushing and severe, theres a deeper issue at hand. Seek a professional for help.

But for your average person anxiety is common and draining, I highly recommend trying to take action on something you’ve been putting off, see how it feels after.

Personally I feel a great relief whenever I accomplish a task that i’ve been procrastinating, like a weight lifted off my shoulders, onto the next challenge.

Some tips for dealing with worry (and the root cause, fear): Don’t believe every thought, they’re not all true. Breathe deeply, get outside, connect with nature.

Talk to friends, family, write/journal, get creative, express the struggle in a creative way, art, music, etc. Exercise hard, this releases endorphins, helps calm the mind.

But I need to re iterate: If you feel this vague anxiety gnawing away at your peace, complete something you’ve had on the back burner, a task that needs to be done.

It should feel like a sigh of relief, these tasks pile up and eventually create a mountain that seems insurmountable, which leads to mental pressure aka anxiety.

Whats a goal you’ve been putting off starting, out of fear, laziness or some other reason? Can you begin today? Whats one small task you can complete today?
