Daily Drop

Unlocking this mystery is one of the keys to success.

There’s a few questions we can ask ourselves that will help us be more successful.

Im not going to suggest how you specifically want to be successful, meaning the way you chose to progress, the specific details, what type of career you're seeking. Or what business you want to start.

The questions to ask are not: What business to start to make the most money? Or what career has the most opportunity for lateral growth? These questions miss the point entirely. One may be successful with this strategy but it’s not built on a solid foundation, it’s missing a main ingredient.

It goes deeper than that. There’s layers to life, and if we miss putting adequate attention and intention into one area, we jeopardize our results in other areas.

So these are the real questions to ask in my humble opinion: What motivates me? What keeps me going? What brings me passion? What gets me excited?

Here’s why these are key, over specific career details. Whatever career you choose or business you start needs to you to be energetic and enthusiastic. In order to reach high levels of success we need high levels of drive, energy, ambition, grit. We need to be present and excited about what we do otherwise it’s forced and difficult.

When we focus on the specific situational details first, for example wanting to start a certain business or career only because you think it will be lucrative, we forget something important. We need to show up for it to grow. We need to be excited about it, we need to have energy to pour into it. We need to care for our work. We need to stay motivated.

So if someone focus on the outer plans and details first, they neglect the most important part. The fuel. If you’re driving somewhere, you need fuel to get there. When people neglect the fuel supply they stop short of their destination every time, and usually they’re stuck for a while.

This is why i’m emphasizing that the most important questions to ask are questions related to what you find interesting, what you are driven by, what you are excited by. What gives you natural streams of energy because it fascinates you. These are crucial factors we must know to move forward.

Because if you choose a career just based on the exterior shine, and the promise of one day making the big bucks. What if you find the inner workings and daily life of that career dull and boring? That makes in many times harder to become successful in said field, because the energy source eventually inevitably dries up.

If we’re doing something based only on a specific outcome, without listening to where our gut, or intuition wants to lead us, the tank will eventually run down to E. This is why we need to know what motivates us, if we do something we are exited about, the work itself fills us up with energy. We still get tired, but once rested we are rejuvenated and looking forward to getting back at it, instead of feeling worn down and burnt out.

When we find answers to the questions of what gets us fired up? What keeps us going? Why do we do what we do? What energizes us? We discover our fuel source. And this fuel source can take us wherever we want to go.
