There’s a hidden key on the journey of becoming, most people miss this. Now today the topic isn’t motivation, grind and hustle, visualizing, etc. This is deeper.
We often think life is about adding things, more achievements, more success, more abundance, more material items, more pleasure. These are all good things in moderation, expansion and growth is amazing if done properly.
Im also not suggesting we renounce the physical world and all material items, or live as hermits. This isn’t about not enjoying our lives, or not having nice things. As usual i’m simply trying to point to the way of non resistance, harmony, flow.
We can practice presence in the moment, clarity, purpose and meaning. The hidden key I want to briefly talk about today is detachment. Detachment from our desires and fears. If we’re attached to a specific outcome, we are trying to force.
Forcing rarely works. Force often meets an equal or opposite energy. We can avoid this resistance through detachment. We do the work we love to do in the present moment, with focus energy and purpose, but… We don’t stress the outcome. We don’t try to control every detail. We don’t worry the future or dwell in the past.
Detachment is not carelessness or laziness, it’s not wishful thinking or cope. Its strength. It’s the choice to keep showing up. Even if you don’t see immediate results. It's the ability to stop living to impress others who don’t care anyway.
It’s a stripping away of the false, the layers of doubt, fear anxiety, worry. We detach from false beliefs that have been draining us like a leech. Detachment is being comfortable with who you are, and letting go of who you are not.
When we try to force things, outside of their natural flow and timing, we create resistance, this is why it’s important to feel the desire of the goal we want to achieve or whatever the dream is, but we also need to detach from the outcome.
It sounds paradoxical I know, but try it for yourself and see the results. When we’re too in our heads we aren’t present in the tasks at hand. We can detach from the noise in the mind, the fear, the desires, the grasping, the feeling of lack and not being enough yet.
We can replace this with a feeling of gratitude. A knowing that it’s already done, and we can choose live in that place without doubt. It’s not delusional, it’s called having faith. We put in the work, we released the work and now when it’s out of our hands we relax. No more stressing over it, feeling unworthy or afraid.
We accept the responsibility to control the few things that are actually under our domain, we always do the very best we can, and from there we release the need to be in control. We detach, we let go, we breathe, we trust, we accept the blessings.
So whatever you want to detach from, whether it’s fear, shame, self doubt, addiction, false beliefs, self sabotage, anger, etc. My question today is… How can you consciously detach from something thats holding you back in this moment?
