Daily Drop

Lies of the mind.

The mind lies to us… Not every thought is truth, not even close, this realization should bring some comfort, but obviously some uncertainty and questions as well.

We don’t know the whole truth, it’s not possible, as we are limited by so many factors. What we know comes from our experience and the knowledge we develop.

The thing is, we’re finite beings, we can only learn so much in one lifetime, we can only have so many experiences and were limited by our 5 senses, our perspectives.

We can only read a limited amount of books, speak to a limited amount of wise people for their council, we can’t encompass and evaluate everything going on.

So why write about this? Well it’s important for us to remember, that when we feel tortured by our thoughts, stressed, anxious and worried, we can change our mind.

Fear dirties the lens of our perspectives, muddies the waters so to speak. Negative fearful thoughts are usually not truth, but projections, they simply feel true to us.

Our thoughts hit close to home, they’re with us constantly, it’s only when we begin to learn to quiet the mind, that we start getting closer to the truth in our lives.

The noise isn’t true because it’s loud. A lie isn’t true because you're telling it to yourself, it’s an illusion that feels real. Thats anxiety’s dirty trick it pulls on us.

I don’t claim to have the solution, the answers, or the truth when it comes to this dilemma. Im simply pointing out the trap of fear and worry. it’s experiential.

This is for you to discover for yourself, and me to discover for myself. I just encourage you to observe your mind rather than be all wrapped up in the drama.

It’s so easy to spiral and get sucked into the whirlwind, because thoughts lead to feelings and emotions, good or bad, it’s just as easy to be positive and delusional.

Finding the truth is a journey we all must embark on for ourselves, people go to war over their version of the truth and i’m not here to tell anyone ultimate truth.

I write what I know to be true, it’s up to the reader to digest for themselves, and apply or disregard based on their own judgments and individual responsibility.

I write this in the hope you stop tormenting yourself by believing every thought that pops into your consciousness, it feels so real, therefore we forget to question.

I struggle with this myself daily, hence why I decided to cover this topic. I hope you gain even a little peace from this reminder, to not believe every thought.

Have you been questioning your beliefs? What can do today to observe your mind, determine and separate truth from lies? This is a key step on the path of discovery.
