Let’s get wise.

Wise people realize how little they know. They accept they don’t have all the answers. They acknowledge the complexity and mystery of life.

Wisdom is not the same as knowledge, wisdom is lived, not just read in a book.

Wise people aren’t always worrying, fretting events or stressing about the future. They’re peaceful, serene, they know something the majority of people don’t know.

They know how to prioritize their energy, they know whats worth focusing on and whats ok to let go. They’re not blinded by rage or spiralling into deep depression.

They have feelings and emotions, they’re just not slaves to them. They have desires, urges, whims, but they aren’t controlled by their mind, it’s the other way.

Wise people have a degree of sovereignty over the mind. Imagine a dog on a tight leash, not allowed to cause much trouble. With most people the dog is walking them, pulling them, directing things. Wise people aren’t swayed by the mind.

Wise people are balanced, centred, moderate, not going to either extreme, but staying within extremes, never pushing the pendulum too far one way or another.

Wise people observe and absorb, they’re aware, always learning, always curious. They go by the ratio of 2 ears 1 mouth. They listen twice as much as they speak.

Wise people are humble, even meek at times. But don’t let the outer image fool you, wise people are strong. They bear the weight of understanding life deeply.

They don’t brag or boast, they don’t need validation and attention from external sources, they’re not flexing material wealth, they’re already whole within, and it reflects outwardly. Thats the true flex in life, being content and healed spiritually.

Wise people don’t abuse others or take advantage of people. They help others and uplift them to the best of their ability. They don’t treat people like robots or try to make some unfair gain from others. They realize the nature of cause and effect.

They don’t do unto others what they wouldn’t want done to them. They don’t judge every situation immediately as good or bad, because they accept they can’t see the full picture. Something that seems bad can work out for good, vice versa.

Wise people are willing to be wrong, apologize, to accept mistakes, willing to adapt, and eager to change if they find a better way of operating in the world.

These are traits and characteristics of wise people based on my own research. Btw wise people also usually have a good sense of humour and can laugh at themselves.

Im not claiming to be wise myself, I don’t exemplify all the traits above yet. This is simply my observation through study of the world of the wise and how they live.
