Daily Drop

Living in the present moment is how we channel our creative abilities.

The future and past are concepts we use to organize our reality, but the only time we’re truly experiencing is the present moment.

When we live from the past we feel limited and tied to our old patterns and ways of being, habits and tendencies. It can feel like we’re stuck.

When we live focused on the future we often feel anxiety or worry, anticipating future events, solving problems that we have only experienced in our minds.

The issue with both these ways of living is were not present, were identifying with a past that we cannot change or a future that isn’t here yet.

Instead we should practice mindfulness and cultivate our awareness. We live in the moment, letting go of the past and future and being present where we are.

In the present moment we can be grounded and rational, we focus on our next step and we plan forward but we don’t try to live in the future.

When we can learn to be present we don’t live with that fear and sense of desperation controlling us, rather we live in a state of faith and gratitude.

Our work will hold more weight since we put our full attention and energy into it, not drifting back and forth between past and future thoughts in an endless cycle.

So lets practice this daily, moment by moment, breath by breath, and experience a greater sense of overall peace and well being, funny enough we may also find were happier and more successful.
