Living with grace.

Daily Drop

Living with grace.

It's easy to be mad and lash out at the foolish things people do, even if we’re only mad internally. We get furious in traffic, or if we detect some clerk was being rude.

We find it so surprising that fools exist, but yet we seem to be having many encounters with them. Almost as if maybe… Its normal, theres always been fools.

Do we freak out when it rains? No because we understand it’s a common part of life and being angry about it would be silly and childish. So are selfish people rare?

The people we get “triggered” by or pissed off at, are just as common as a funny looking tree or the rock we stubbed our toe on, that is part of life. They exist.

Now obviously there are boundaries we must have set, and certain behaviour is unacceptable. But how often are we ticked off at the little things in life? Me daily.

Because the other part of that logic is: This person did this thing thats disrespectful. How dare they? But who are we? what makes us immune to fools?

Are we perfect? Do we do no wrong? Are we these flawless angels but the people who upset us are stupid fools? That seems a little narcissistic. We make mistakes.

Everyone messes up, maybe the person who was being rude is going through something we aren’t aware of, it doesn’t excuse it but who are we to condemn?

When we practice having grace on others and ourselves we receive grace back. We’ve all made mistakes, we all have regrets, we all mess up and do dumb things.

So lets have some grace on others, lets practice letting go and releasing them from our anger, lets practice moving forward and moving on. We need grace ourselves.

Nobody is perfect, were all flawed in different ways, but were all human, lets accept that we all mess up at times, lets remember that we also need forgiveness.

The beautiful thing about letting go, is we gain so much, we gain internal peace, wisdom, serenity, clarity, and we receive grace back. You get what you give.
