Daily Universal Lesson:

Waiting on motivation doesn’t work. We can build momentum without relying on “more motivation.”

The beauty is when we keep moving towards our goals, the process becomes the reward and provides the motivation.

So when we don’t feel any motivation, maybe the problem is a direction problem. When we have a goal, and aim, a target, and we move towards it we see progress.

That progress creates a motivation to repeat the positive behaviour in order to get the reward.

This system can also be hijacked by negative habits as well. Habits that give us the sensation of reward but without the benefits of going through the process.

Todays reminder is we can actually create motivation, by moving when we don’t feel like it.

The first steps are the hardest but they lead to positive feedback loops. Creating a habit that sticks happens when the alignment between behaviour and reward sync.
