The power of purpose.

Without a clear defined purpose, life can feel grey. Now purpose can change and shift with time, its not necessarily one life purpose, it could be many different things all leading to the ultimate purpose. But regardless we need purpose.

Purpose gives meaning and fulfillment, Purpose gives us energy to work, motivation to keep going and ambition to improve.

Purpose can make work feel like play, it can make the difficult times bearable. And the good times even more enjoyable.

It seems some people know their purpose at a very young age, even as kids. Meanwhile others never seem to find their calling. The key for me has been trial and error. This is why it’s important to try new things while young, the more we try to the more of a sense we can get towards what we’re meant to do.

Some people stay stuck in one thing that they hate for too long out of fear of the unknown, the problem with that is, if they ever want to try something new they wont have as much time to experiment and find what they enjoy, especially with the added responsibility as we grow older. That said, it is definitely still possible.

So we should ask ourselves, What work feels like play to me? What work allows me to enter flow state where I loose track of time? What are my natural talents and skills? What excites me? These are usually indications of our purpose.

As we live our purpose and grow on our journey, life will feel like an adventure. If were doing something for work that feels draining and soul crushing we should aim to pivot into something new, i’m not suggesting drop everything and abandon responsibility but rather to plan for the next steps, trusting the process as we go.

So whats your purpose? do you know it? i’m finally learning mine.

If you don’t feel it yet, don’t worry, none of us have life figured out, but as we keep walking in faith, trying to improve and living in truth, we will follow the path that leads us where we need to go.
